Tue, 14 October 2008 A long time no podcast? I catch everyone up on the past month, which has included teeth, solids, and sleep training. I also end the podcast with tips for moms of multiples--both those who are expecting and those with new babies. Hopefully they're helpful to those of you out there with twins--and singletons, and triplets, etc. Comments[2] |
I wish I had listened to your podcast before a couple of months ago!! your comment about FACEBOOK is so true....I got so depressed when I saw all the women I graduated with have 1, 2 some 3 children. Me and hubby have been trying since 2000. I went on one fertility visit but we cannot afford the treatments.
I am happy that I found your podcast..I will be a regular listener.
Thanks

I'm experiencing secondary infertility, apparently our son was a real "anomaly", we prefer miracle, whatever...but my body is pretty messed up. It's not the same as when it's your first, but it's still a whole new world in dealing w/infertility. Took us 6yrs for him and we've been trying almost 3yrs after his first birthday.
So many of your comments have just struck a chord, as if your are reading my mind--like doing IVF even though we said we'd never "go that far", you are so insightful and I am really glad I found your podcast. I second all of your tips but ESPECIALLY having a plan in case breastfeeding doesn't work out. Nowhere in my mind did it occur to me that I would not be able to bf. As I'm getting ready to leave the hospital(literally) the midwife says "sometimes women w/PCOS can't produce enough milk"--would have been good to know sooner. Even w/herbs, a turbo breast pump and much effort, I couldn't produce. My son ended up w/jaundice, I was totally sleep deprived and miserable and I think it kicked off some pp depression...I had to really scramble to come up w/bottles and formula, spent a small fortune trying different ones...it really was not a good situation and it could have been better w/a little prep even though I would still never believe I couldn't bf!
And what's up w/the s-i-l comment??? I fear my m-i-l would be of similar help w/the "real" stuff, esp after her visit while i was 7months pregnant, worked a full day and came home to find her napping and had to make them dinner...I'm feeling your pain.
